Alabama river: This is an important river of Alabama as well as of USA. It is formed by the combination of two important rivers The Coosa and Tallapoosa. This river passes through one of the best agricultural region of of the state. An important tributary of Alabama river is Cahaba River. But the main tributary of Alabama river is the Coosa River which passes through one of the major mineral region.
Coosa River: This river starts flowing from the Georgia but the major part of the river is situated in Alabama. There are around seven dams which are built on this river. Some of the dams help in the generation of hydroelectric power.
Cahaba River: This is the longest flowing river in the state of Alabama. The scenic beauty surrounding the river is very attractive to the tourists. In this river you can find around 131 species of fishes. Other than this you can also find a range of flora and fauna here. This river is also an important tributary of the Alabama river as well.
Balck Warrior River: This river is an important tributary of the Tombigbee River. This river is famous because it generates hydroelectricity, helps in navigation and provides drinking water to a large number of people.
Other than this, Tennessee, Pedrido and Conecuh are also some of the important rivers of Alabama.
